What can become a disaster is the occurrence of a greenhouse effect that destabilize the planet's energy balance and gives rise to a phenomenon known as global warming. The animal habitat is constantly changed due to this problem.
Greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O)) absorb some infrared radiation emitted by the radiating surface of the earth and on its ever absorbed energy back to the surface.
As a result, the surface receives almost twice as much energy from the atmosphere than it receives from the Sun and the surface is about 30 ° C warmer than it would be without the presence of gases "greenhouse".
The pollution of the last two hundred years has the thickest layer of existing gases in the atmosphere. This layer prevents the dispersion of light energy from the sun that illuminates and warms the Earth and also retains the infrared radiation (heat) emitted by the surface of the planet.
