The water cycle
1 - Evaporation
The water of the oceans, seas, rivers, streams and lakes by action of the sun evaporates (changes from a liquid to a gas) and water vapor formed by the action of gravity rises into the atmosphere.
2 - Evapotranspiration
Animals and plants, a process known as evaporation, also emit water vapor to the atmosphere.
3 - Condensation
In the atmosphere, the water vapor cools. This process is referred to as condensation, i.e., the steam turns into water droplets, forming clouds.
4 - Rainfall
When the clouds pass through cold areas condensation increases causing precipitation. This can be in the form of rain, snow, sleet or fog.
5 - Infiltration
When precipitation occurs, some of the water from rain (or snow, hail, fog) falls directly on the oceans, rivers, streams and lakes, and other surface flows yet another infiltrates into the ground. Some of the water evaporates evil falls on the ground, especially in closed or sealed heated areas such as paved roads, parking lots and roofs of buildings.
Water that infiltrates the soil, some is absorbed by plant roots, other supplies the headwaters of rivers and underground reservoirs (aquifers).
Sun
Through the action of solar energy, the great engine of the continuous circuit of water, and respiration and transpiration of living beings, the water returns again to the atmosphere.
So the cycle repeats itself over and over incessantly ...
